The Black Lives Matter Mississippi protest was organized by Maisie Brown and Calvert White along with other young activists from our state to protest against police brutality, inequities in the criminal justice system and state-sponsored Confederate symbolism. Protests and looting have broken out across America in response to the brutal killing of George Floyd at the hands of a Minnesota Police Officer.
